Road access is via the M25 or M2 from London & the North Manston airport now host flights to many parts of Europe and is expanding and London Heathrow and London Gatwick are within 2 hours drive.
Ramsgate is home to the Royal Harbour and maritime museum, award-winning sandy beaches, Café’s Night life and is a busy Market Town (Fridays and Saturdays), superb bays and cliff tops, historic and modern architecture, Café’s Bars and Sandy beaches to provide pleasure to all newcomers and regulars alike.

Fine architectural features of picturesque Victorian and Regency terraces overlook the soft golden sands along the seafront, while the town bustles with visitors to the many gift shops during the day and top restaurants, pubs and clubs for the evening entertainment.

Ramsgate harbour was granted Royal status in recognition of the hospitality given to King George IV when he sailed from Ramsgate to Hanover. Visitors to Ramsgate a must to visit is the maritime museum showing many years of East Kent’s seafaring heritage.

Ramsgate and surrounding villages give the get out and about visitors many pleasant walks around the historic and natural countryside. Sandwich & Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve and St Augustine’s Cross are two of the many popular walks.

Starting from the town centre down to the Marina up the hill, then along the beach, find you way to Pegwell where nourishment liquid and other can be found at the Sir Stanley Gray, then to clear you head a good brisk walk along the cliffs to Pegwell bay and on to the Viking ship, only stopping for ice cream at the picnic area then on to the quaint medieval  village of Sandwich (one of Kent's Cinque Ports) a few miles further on where you can relax and enjoy an original sandwich from whence the name came.
